Don't Talk To Men

Don’t Talk To Men.

Strange how the world progresses at such a constant rate and yet all that glares at us is its rate of change.  Its dynamic is so evident it’s not uncommon to find people completely blind to what is really out there. You mustn’t think this the reason why you shouldn't talk to men.

Growing as children most of us are blinded from the “realities” of the world. Some of us are lucky enough to be showered with the necessities others may look upon as luxuries. Nonetheless we moved along the world in such carefree state until “reality” began to beat rhythms that threw the carefree spirit into frenzy for blissful survival. Man’s attitude towards his fellow man can be the most beautiful thing to observe but upon close analysis you’ll be startled at the ape-like mannerism most people lead their lives cause of variables that have grown from conditioning; a man embezzles wealth because he fears losing his current status even though it leaves millions hungry and in want. A schoolgirl gives her being to that boy cause she seeks the approval of b**ches whom upon close analysis don’t give a damn if she exists. All to what end?

Being in Nigeria where most people cling to religion as though their birthright depended on it. It seems ironic that most of us allow ourselves to be run down by trifles these religions demand we ignore. Such as the stupidity the Nigerian government abuse us with from neglecting to provide basic necessities, the reckless teenager that spills his drink on your shoe. The boy/girl that refuses to look your way even though you’ve been wearing killer dresses for the past one month. All of which brews insecurities due to fear, resentment, apathy and a host of other emotions that only bring about detriment to uplifting goals we should have in mind. We concern ourselves with idle gossip and useless rumours and information that if matched with what we should have in mind do absolutely nothing to help in our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual progress. We do this simply because we talk to other men, most of the time without even using our mouths. We make vile assumptions from the sweet rumours that caress the ears with its uselessness, from the moulded countenance on another’s face. Its lies within our duty to look within ourselves to find that thing which is bigger than all men combined. It’s constant and unfolds with or without your consent to the dynamism that seems so evident. All that’s important is how aligned we are to this Presence.

So, here’s a basic-pulse for you, start out your day feeling like you are the hottest being to grace the earth. Look out for things that you would usually overlook. Like the abundance of green and blue, how green, blue, brown, red, white and black display nature’s grandeur and style. Listen for humming birds, laughing people, beautifully composed music. Search for the best in other people and life will present you with the very best in ways you could not dream. Not because you shouldn’t talk to men but because you realise that what lies within them is what lies within you.
